# Create a client

`POST /v1/clients`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pasito.ai`
- URL: `https://api.pasito.ai/v1/clients`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a client company attached to your account (brokers set `brokerId`, vendors set `vendorId`).

## Request body

- CreateClientRequest
  - `displayName` string, required: The client company name (e.g. Acme Corp).
  - `domain` string: Optional client domain (e.g. acme.com).
  - `aliasExternalId` string: Optional: your own id for this client. Recorded as the mapping an SFTP drop folder segment or a REST `clientId` naming this id resolves through, so you can map at creation time instead of waiting for a later upload to stamp it. Rejected with 409 if one of your clients already carries it.
