# Rank an occupation's guests

`GET /v1/people/occupations/{code}/guests`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.particle.pro`
- URL: `https://api.particle.pro/v1/people/occupations/{code}/guests`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Ranks the people listed under an occupation by their podcast guest and panelist appearances in a window of publication dates (the last 30 days by default), then by the distinct shows they appeared on. Raise min_podcasts to favor guests booked across the medium over one show's regulars. Appearances follow the rules of GET /v1/podcasts/episodes?guest_occupation=: settled links only, and none whose analysis doubts the guest is the person linked. The {code} parameter accepts the code, slug, or title. For the shows that book them, use GET /v1/people/occupations/{code}/podcasts.

## Path parameters

- `code` string, required: The occupation's or field's code, slug, or title, as GET /v1/people/occupations and GET /v1/people/fields list them.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer: Results per page
- `cursor` string: Opaque pagination cursor from previous response
- `since` string: Only appearances on episodes published on or after this date. Defaults to 30 days ago; the window may span at most 90 days.
- `until` string: Only appearances on episodes published on or before this date; a bare date includes that whole day. Defaults to now.
- `standing` 'established' | 'self_described' | 'unverified': Only count guests whose standing in their expertise is recognized this way: established (credentialed or widely recognized), self_described, or unverified.
- `min_podcasts` integer: Only guests who appeared on at least this many distinct shows in the window. Raise it to favor guests booked across the medium over a show's regulars.

## Other responses

- `402`: Payment Required. Read error_code. payment_required is the x402 path: either a keyless request being challenged — pay $0.04 in USDC per request (requirements in the PAYMENT-REQUIRED header) or send a pp_ API key — or a supplied payment that failed settlement (details in the PAYMENT-RESPONSE header; retry the same signature before signing a new one). See https://docs.particle.pro/x402. Any other code means the credential was accepted but does not cover this request (a plan or session gate such as premium_required or paid_plan_confirmation_required); its resolve says how to obtain access, and no payment header is sent.
- `default`: Error
