# List skills

`GET /skills`

## Request

List the organization's skills and your personal ones, newest first by default. Parley's built-in skills aren't listed.

## Query parameters

- `search` string: Case-insensitive. Only skills whose name contains this text.
- `scope` 'organization' | 'personal': Only the organization's skills, or only your personal ones.
- `activation` 'auto' | 'on-demand': Only auto skills, or only on-demand ones.
- `enabled` boolean: Only skills that are on (true), or only those that are off.
- `createdSince` string: Only records created at or after this time. An ISO 8601 date (YYYY-MM-DD, read as UTC midnight) or date-time.
- `createdBefore` string: Only records created before this time. An ISO 8601 date (YYYY-MM-DD, read as UTC midnight) or date-time.
- `updatedSince` string: Only records last updated at or after this time. An ISO 8601 date (YYYY-MM-DD, read as UTC midnight) or date-time.
- `updatedBefore` string: Only records last updated before this time. An ISO 8601 date (YYYY-MM-DD, read as UTC midnight) or date-time.
- `sort` 'name' | '-name' | 'createdAt' | '-createdAt' | 'updatedAt' | '-updatedAt': Sort order: a field name, prefixed with - for descending. Defaults to -createdAt.
- `cursor` string: Opaque cursor from nextCursor. Pass the same filters and sort. Omit for the first page.
- `limit` integer: Maximum number of items to return.

    - `id` string, required: The skill ID.
    - `slug` string, required: The skill's folder name, chosen when the skill is created. It is how the skill is addressed, and the name the assistant loads it by.
    - `name` string, required: The skill name, from its SKILL.md.
    - `description` string, required: What the skill is for, from its SKILL.md.
    - `scope` 'organization' | 'personal', required: Who can use the skill. organization: everyone in the organization. personal: only the person who created it.
    - `activation` 'auto' | 'on-demand', required: When the skill is used. auto: Parley's assistant uses it whenever its description fits the task. on-demand: only when someone runs it, from a project's Run Skill list or by typing /<slug> in a message.
    - `enabled` boolean, required: Whether the skill is on. Parley never uses a skill that is off.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: When the skill was created.
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required: When the skill was last changed.
  - `nextCursor` string, nullable, required: Cursor for the next page, or null on the last page.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was invalid. VALIDATION_FAILED, INVALID_CURSOR.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials. UNAUTHORIZED.
- `403`: You don't have permission. FORBIDDEN.
- `429`: Too many requests, or a usage limit was reached. TOO_MANY_REQUESTS.
