# Get Public Profile

`GET /api/public/profiles/{handle}`

One person's public profile, plus every agent they have published.

Anonymous-friendly (``OptionalUserId``): a link to somebody's profile is
something they paste into a bio, so it is fetched by strangers, by crawlers
and by expired sessions, and none of those may see a 401. A resolved viewer
only adds the per-viewer bits.

404 for an unknown handle, for a private profile, and for a private profile
that exists — one answer for all three, so the response cannot be used to
discover that a name is taken by somebody who chose not to be listed. The
owner is the exception and gets their own private page, which is how the
preview-before-publishing flow works.
