# Get a post's content group

`GET /v1/posts/{postId}/bucket`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://public.api.paragraph.com/api`
- URL: `https://public.api.paragraph.com/api/v1/posts/{postId}/bucket`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Find the group a post belongs to, without creating one.

Answers `null` when nothing has been made from the post yet. To attach something, call `POST /v1/posts/{postId}/bucket` instead, which creates the group on first use.

A post you've reopened for editing resolves to the live post's group, so a draft id and its published id give the same answer.

## Path parameters

- `postId` string, required

## Response `200`

Content group retrieved successfully

- object
  - `bucketId` string, nullable, required: The bucket this post is grouped in, or null when nothing has been made from it yet

## Other responses

- `404`: Post not found in your publication
- `500`: Internal server error
