# Copy document

`POST /documents/document-copy`

## Request

Copy a document to another folder or workspace. Preserves metadata where configured; returns the new document POFID.

## Response `200`

Success

- object: Copy a document — returns original and copy details
  - `status` 'success' | 'error', required: Operation result status
  - `message` string: Human-readable status message
  - `locale` string: Locale used (e.g. en_US, de_DE)
  - `original` object: Details of the original document
    - `pofid` string: POFID of the original
    - `file_name` string: File name of the original
    - `workspace_id` integer: Workspace ID of the original
  - `copy` object: Details of the created copy
    - `documents_id` integer: New document ID
    - `pofid` string: New POFID of the copy
    - `file_name` string: File name of the copy
    - `workspace_id` integer: Target workspace ID
    - `workspace_name` string: Target workspace name
  - `processing_time` string: Request processing time (e.g. "123.45ms")
