# Sign in using a WebAuthn key - Step 1

`POST /wan-signin`

## Request body

- WanSignin
  - `identity` string
  - `remember` boolean — If true, will remember userid as part of cookie. There is a configuration variable DEFAULT_REMEMBER_ME that can be set. This field will override that.

    - `code` integer, required — Http status code
  - `response` object, required
    - `credential_options` string
    - `wan_state` string
    - `is_secondary` boolean — Is this sign in part of a secondary authentication.
    - `remember` boolean — This is simply the same value as was passed in the body.
