# Update a site's editable metadata

`PATCH /api/sites/{slug}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pagegoat.com`

## Path parameters

- `slug` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateSiteRequest: Editable site metadata. Omit any field you are not changing.
  - `name` string, nullable: New display name.
  - `slug` string, nullable: New slug. Rejected if taken or malformed.
  - `commentsEnabled` boolean, nullable: Allow new comments.
  - `hiddenFromSearch` boolean, nullable: Emit `noindex` on the viewer page. Advisory, not access control.
  - `projectId` string, uuid, nullable: Project to file this site under. Send null to unfile it; omit the field entirely to leave it where it is.
