# Invite an email with no account yet

`POST /api/sites/{slug}/invites`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pagegoat.com`
- URL: `https://api.pagegoat.com/api/sites/{slug}/invites`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Becomes a real grant on that person's first verified sign-in.

## Path parameters

- `slug` string, required

## Request body

- CreateSiteInviteRequest: Invite an email to a site.
  - `email` string, required
  - `role` 'viewer' | 'commenter' | 'admin', required

## Response `201`

The pending invitation.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing email, or an unknown role.
- `404`: No such site, or not an admin on it.
