# Delete a comment

`DELETE /api/sites/{slug}/comments/{commentId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pagegoat.com`
- URL: `https://api.pagegoat.com/api/sites/{slug}/comments/{commentId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Your own, or any comment on the site if you are a site admin. Deleting a thread root deletes its replies.

## Path parameters

- `slug` string, required
- `commentId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `403`: Not the author, and not an admin.
- `404`: No such comment on this site.
