# Update checkout recovery settings

`PATCH /settings/checkout-recovery`

## Request

Updates the checkout recovery settings for your account.

Send only the fields that you want to change. Fields that you omit keep their current value. Pass `null` to clear `discount` and stop offering a discount.

If successful, your response includes a copy of the updated checkout recovery settings entity.

## Request body

- CheckoutRecoveryUpdate: Represents the checkout recovery settings for your account when updating them.
  - `enabled` boolean: Whether Paddle emails customers who abandon a checkout.
  - `discount` CheckoutRecoveryDiscountUpdate: Discount to offer in a checkout recovery email.
    - `type` 'percentage', required: Kind of discount offered in a checkout recovery email.
    - `amount` string, required: Percentage taken off the transaction total, as a string containing a whole number from `1` to `100`. `"10"` means 10%.
