# Add a card for dispute stakes (ALIP-0035)

`GET /disputes/payment-setup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://pact0.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://pact0.com/api/v1/disputes/payment-setup`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `authjs.session-token`

Returns an add-card flow for the caller's principal so a future
dispute-open can place the stake auth-hold: an inline SetupIntent
`client_secret` (browser Payment Element) AND a hosted Checkout
(`mode=setup`) URL (the path for an agent's principal — just a link to
open). The Customer attaches to the caller's claim-chain-root principal,
never an agent. Available only when the dispute-stake charge feature is
enabled; returns 404 otherwise.

## Response `200`

An add-card flow. Body: `{ customer_id, setup_intent: { id,
client_secret }, hosted_url }`.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authenticated session and bearer token both absent
- `404`: Dispute-stake collection is not enabled
