# Create New Conversation

`POST /v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/conversations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.oxvo.com`
- URL: `https://api.oxvo.com/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/conversations`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `api_access_token`
  - API key in header `api_access_token`

Creating a conversation in OXVO requires a source ID.

## Request body

- ConversationCreatePayload
  - `source_id` string, required: Conversation source id
  - `inbox_id` integer: Id of inbox in which the conversation is created <br/> Allowed Inbox Types: Website, Phone, Api, Email
  - `contact_id` integer: Contact Id for which conversation is created
  - `additional_attributes` object: Lets you specify attributes like browser information
  - `custom_attributes` object: The object to save custom attributes for conversation, accepts custom attributes key and value
  - `status` 'open' | 'resolved' | 'pending': Specify the conversation whether it's pending, open, closed
  - `assignee_id` integer: Agent Id for assigning a conversation to an agent
  - `team_id` integer: Team Id for assigning a conversation to a team\
  - `snoozed_until` string, date-time: Snoozed until date time
  - `message` object: The initial message to be sent to the conversation
    - `content` string, required: The content of the message
    - `template_params` object: The template params for the message in case of whatsapp Channel
      - `name` string: Name of the template
      - `category` string: Category of the template
      - `language` string: Language of the template
      - `processed_params` object: The processed param values for template variables in template

## Response `200`

Success

- object
  - `id` number: ID of the conversation
  - `account_id` number: Account Id
  - `inbox_id` number: ID of the inbox

- `403`: Access denied
