# Preview Upgrade

`GET /payments/upgrade-preview`

## Request

Preview the prorated charge for upgrading to a new plan.

Uses Stripe's upcoming invoice API to calculate exactly what the user
will be charged today for the plan change. This shows the NET proration
amount (new plan remaining days - old plan credit), NOT the full plan price.

Example: Pro ($14.90) → Premium ($49.90) halfway through the cycle:
  - Credit for unused Pro: -$7.45
  - Charge for Premium remaining: +$24.95
  - Net proration charge: $17.50
