# Deletion Status

`GET /api/settings/deletion-status`

The caller's pending-deletion state. `pending` drives the settings
panel's Delete / Cancel-deletion swap; `purge_after` is the date the
30-day purge becomes eligible; `can_cancel` is that window read by the
database clock.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DeletionStatusResponse: `GET /api/settings/deletion-status` -- the account's pending-deletion state (R-RESCIND, OWNER 2026-09-25). The settings panel branches on `pending` to swap the Delete control for the "Cancel deletion" one and prints `purge_after`; both are REQUIRED so the typed client never dereferences undefined.
