# Api Sector Breakdown

`GET /api/sector-breakdown`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.oxfordledge.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://www.oxfordledge.com/api/sector-breakdown`
- Auth: none declared

Sector breakdown (ticker counts) by sector/industry.

#13 count-only cutover (2026-05-22): PG company_profiles (~5,253
sectored tickers) is the primary source — the legacy SQLite
`ticker_sectors` table is near-empty (~53 rows) and made this endpoint
unrepresentative. Falls back to the SQLite helper only when PG is
unavailable or returns nothing (SQLite is under PG_PARITY retirement).
`totalMarketCap` is null in the PG path (count-only; cap-weighting is
the deferred FMP-backfill slice).

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SectorBreakdownEntry[]
  - `sector` string, nullable
  - `industry` string, nullable
  - `tickerCount` integer, nullable
  - `totalMarketCap` number, nullable
