# Featured filers gallery for the 13F surface

`GET /api/filers/featured`

## Request

Return the curated 13F featured-filers gallery as
`{filers: [...], total, source: "pg"|"empty"}`.

Behavior:
  - PG-populated: returns up to 6 active filers ordered by
    `display_order` ASC via `pg_get_featured_filers(6)`.
    `source` = "pg"; `total` = `len(filers)`.
  - PG empty / unavailable: returns `{filers: [], total: 0,
    source: "empty"}` so the gallery row can render an empty-state.

No JSON fallback — featured filers are editorially curated; no
pre-PR2 JSON file exists. The 13F surface's gallery card branches
on `body.filers.length === 0` for the empty-state.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- FeaturedFilersResponse: `GET /api/filers/featured` response. Top-level envelope: `{filers: [...], total, source}`. `filers` is the gallery list (defaults to the 6 active filers ordered by `display_order`); `total` is the row count (`len(filers)` — convenience for the renderer to check "show more" affordance); `source` is one of `"pg"` (PG-backed) or `"empty"` (no filers backfilled / PG unavailable). The 13F surface's gallery iterates `body.filers[]` mapping each to a card; `body.total` drives the "+ N more" link. The required fields here are the FE-load-bearing contract pinned by the F4.3 boundary test.
