# Create Template

`POST /v1/templates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.oviond.com`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer

Create a new template, optionally copying pages and widgets from a report.

## Request body

- CreateTemplateRequest
  - `name` string, required
  - `report_id` string, required: Copy pages/widgets from this report
  - `type` 'REPORT' | 'DASHBOARD': Defaults to the source report's type when omitted
  - `description` string
  - `thumbnail` string
  - `ranking` number

## Response `201`

Template created

- CreateTemplateResponse
  - `success` true, required
  - `data` object, required
    - `id` string, required

## Other responses

- `404`: Source report not found
