# Upgrade Workspace Subscription

`POST /workspaces/{workspace_id}/upgrade_subscription`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Upgrade or downgrade the subscription for a specific workspace.

- For upgrades: Payment is charged immediately and verified before updating
- For downgrades: No refund is given, user keeps access until end of billing period

- `402`: Payment required. Create a quote (POST /v2/quotes), show it to the human and let them pay on the Stripe page; nothing was charged.
