# Report Deviation

`POST /api/v1/report-deviation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.outcallerai.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Report a deviation detected during an active call.

This endpoint is called by the AI agent when it detects:
- Going off-script or off-topic
- Violating prompt rules (e.g., revealing AI identity, using external knowledge)
- Early signs of failure (negative sentiment, customer frustration)

Supports both:
- Query parameters (from Ultravox tool calls)
- JSON body (from manual API calls)

Returns:
    DeviationReportResponse confirming the report was received

## Query parameters

- `call_id` string, nullable: Call ID (query param for Ultravox)
- `deviation_type` string, nullable: Type of deviation
- `description` string, nullable: Description of deviation
- `transcript_excerpt` string, nullable: Transcript excerpt

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DeviationReportResponse: Response model for deviation report.
  - `success` boolean, required: Whether the report was successful
  - `message` string, required: Status message
  - `call_id` integer, required: Call ID
  - `deviation_type` string, required: Type of deviation reported
