# Accept the merchant terms

`POST /payments/merchant/terms`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms`
- URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms/payments/merchant/terms`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Needs an owner or admin, or a key with comms_payments_manage. Accepts the merchant terms at https://comms.osis.co/merchant-terms for your workspace and turns on the Payments API. It doesn't lift a suspension.

## Request body

- object
  - `version` string, required: The current terms version, from GET /payments/merchant.

## Response `200`

The Payments API is on.

- object
  - `enabled` boolean, required
  - `terms_version` string, required
  - `terms_accepted_at` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `401`: API key is missing or wrong.
- `403`: payment_admin_required, or payments_suspended: Comms suspended payments for your workspace.
- `409`: merchant_terms_version_mismatch: version isn't current. The error includes terms_version and terms_url.
