# Unsend a message

`POST /messages/{message_id}/unsend`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms`
- URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms/messages/{message_id}/unsend`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Take back an iMessage you sent, within Apple's two-minute window. Needs comms_send and a line that supports unsend. Safe to call more than once. Older devices may still show the message.

## Response `200`

Unsent. If you'd already unsent it, you get the earlier result.

## Other responses

- `400`: The body isn't empty JSON
- `401`: API key is missing or wrong
- `403`: Key is missing the scope or can't use this line
- `404`: Message not found in your workspace or on your key's line
- `409`: This line can't unsend, the message can't be unsent, or the time limit passed
- `429`: Too many requests
- `502`: Couldn't confirm the unsend. Call the same URL again.
- `503`: Unsend is down for a moment. Try again soon.
