# Read a shared location

`GET /lines/{id}/location`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms`
- URL: `https://osis.co/api/v1/comms/lines/{id}/location`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requires comms_read and access to the dedicated line. Returns a contact location only while they are sharing it with this number. Unsupported lines return 409. Responses are not cached.

Current sharing status and latest available shared point.

  - `from` string, required: The contact sharing their location.

  - `checked_at` string, date-time, required
  - `shared_at` string, date-time, nullable, required
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, nullable, required
  - `location` object, nullable, required
    - `latitude` number, required
    - `longitude` number, required
    - `accuracy_m` number, nullable, required
    - `recorded_at` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid contact number.
- `401`: Authentication required.
- `403`: Missing scope or line ownership.
- `404`: Line not found within this key’s access.
- `409`: Location sharing is unsupported on this line.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `502`: Invalid location response.
- `503`: Location state cannot be verified.
