# Set typing indicator

`POST /conversations/{conversation_id}/typing`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Show or hide typing dots in an iMessage or RCS conversation. The line has to support typing and have it turned on. Scope: comms_send.

  - `active` boolean

## Response `200`

Typing updated

- PresenceResponse
  - `ok` boolean
  - `active` boolean
  - `read` boolean
  - `skipped` boolean
  - `reason` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: API key is missing or wrong
- `403`: Your key doesn't have the scope this needs
- `404`: Not found
- `409`: The conversation isn't available, or the request conflicts with an earlier one
