# Mark conversation read

`POST /conversations/{conversation_id}/read`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Mark an iMessage or RCS conversation as read and send a read receipt. The line has to support it. Scope: comms_send.

- `conversation_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Read receipt sent

- PresenceResponse
  - `ok` boolean
  - `active` boolean
  - `read` boolean
  - `skipped` boolean
  - `reason` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: API key is missing or wrong
- `403`: Your key doesn't have the scope this needs
- `404`: Not found
- `409`: The conversation isn't available, or the request conflicts with an earlier one
