# Get trace conversation

`GET /v3/traces/{trace_id}/conversation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://my.orq.ai`
- URL: `https://my.orq.ai/v3/traces/{trace_id}/conversation`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Return ordered OpenResponses items from the selected model-call span. Prefers spans with output outside evaluator subtrees unless `span_id` is given.

- `span_id` string

- GetTraceConversationResponse
  - `trace_id` string
  - `span_id` string: Span the items were read from; empty when the trace holds no model call. Read its detail with GetTraceSpan.
  - `items` object[]: Ordered OpenResponses items, including recorded instructions as a leading system message.
