# List exposed tools for a gateway

`GET /v2/mcp-gateways/{gateway_id}/tools`

## Request

Returns the namespaced tool view for a gateway.

## Path parameters

- ListMcpGatewayToolsResponse
  - `object` string: Always "list".
  - `data` McpGatewayTool[]: Exposed tools on the current page.
    - `server_key` string: Key of the upstream server the tool comes from.
    - `alias` string: Alias configured on the gateway link the tool comes from.
    - `exposed_name` string: Name MCP clients call; namespaced per the gateway's `tool_naming` and capped at 64 characters.
    - `description` string: Tool description advertised upstream, passed through to MCP clients.
    - `input_schema` object: JSON Schema for the tool arguments, as advertised upstream.
    - `mcp_server_id` string: Upstream server the exposed tool resolves to.
    - `upstream_tool_name` string: Bare tool name on the upstream server, before namespacing.
    - `title` string: Human-readable label advertised upstream, when the server sends one.
    - `annotations` McpToolAnnotations: Hints claimed by the upstream server; the gateway does not enforce them.
      - `read_only` boolean: Upstream claims the tool does not modify state.
      - `destructive` boolean: Upstream claims the tool can perform destructive updates.
      - `idempotent` boolean: Upstream claims repeated calls with the same arguments have no extra effect.
      - `open_world` boolean: Upstream claims the tool reaches systems outside its own domain.
    - `icons` McpIcon[]: Icons advertised by the upstream tool.
      - `src` string: Icon URI, including HTTPS URLs and base64 data URIs.
      - `mime_type` string: Optional MIME type override.
      - `sizes` string[]: Supported sizes such as "48x48" or "any".
      - `theme` string: Optional background theme this icon was designed for.
  - `has_more` boolean: Whether further items exist beyond this page.
