# Move file

`POST /v2/file-systems/{file_system_key}/files/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://my.orq.ai`
- URL: `https://my.orq.ai/v2/file-systems/{file_system_key}/files/move`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Moves or renames one file or folder within the same file system. Missing destination folders are created.

## Path parameters

- `file_system_key` string, required

## Request body

- MoveFileSystemFileRequest
  - `from` string, required: Current path of the file or folder, relative to the file system root
  - `to` string, required: New path of the file or folder, relative to the file system root

## Response `201`

File successfully moved.

- MoveFileSystemFileResponse
  - `from` string, required
  - `to` string, required

## Other responses

- `409`: Conflict - The destination already exists.
