# Anonymous agent signup: a new account and its API key in one call

`POST /api/v1/agents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.orgo.ai`
- URL: `https://www.orgo.ai/api/v1/agents`
- Auth: none required

No authentication. Body (optional): { "name"?: string (1-80), "contact_email"?: string }. Makes an unclaimed account with a workspace and an account-wide API key, shown once. Unclaimed accounts start with no credit and run one Medium Linux computer by the hour from credits they add (see POST /api/v1/credits), hold at most 3 keys, and cannot invite people, publish public URLs, add domains, create client accounts, invoice or buy hardware. They expire 72 hours after signup unless a person opens claim.url and claims them. Send an Idempotency-Key header (a UUID) so a retry answers the same account. Answers 404 where agent signup is off.

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string
  - `contact_email` string, email

## Response `201`
