# Get a computer

`GET /api/computers/{id}`

## Request

Its status, hardware and connection details, and when it ends: ends_at (null: never), on_end (read only, what happens then: "delete", or "stop" for a computer whose end was set before every end deleted it; null with no end) and deletes_at (its end for on_end delete; for a computer stopped when its time ran out, ended_at, and deletes_at the day it is deleted unless it is started). An hourly computer running out a prepaid end has prepaid_until (when the prepaid run ends) and prepaid_cents (what is held for it); both are null for a computer billed by the hour and for a plan computer.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthenticated.
- `404`: No such computer.
- `429`: Over one of the account's rate limits (rate_limited): `limit` names it, `retry_after` and Retry-After say how many seconds to wait. Limits are per account (the workspace owner when the request acts on a computer or a workspace) and set by its plan (x-rate-limits).
