# Update Smart Campaign Preferences

`PUT /api/v1/preferences/smart-campaigns`

## Request

Updates smart-campaign topic preferences for a customer within the specified brand group. Unlike channel Update Preferences, this is a **partial** update: only topics present in the request body are written, and other smart-campaign topics keep their previous stored values. Each topicId must reference a **Hide from UI** topic in the given brand group.

    - `topicId` string, required: The topic UUID to update. Must be a Hide from UI topic in the brand group.
    - `subscribed` boolean, required: Desired subscription state for the topic.
