# Get item last value

`GET /api/south/{southId}/items/{itemId}/last-value`

Retrieves the last cached value for a specific item, and its group's last tracked value when grouped

## Response `200`

The item's own last cached value, plus the group's last value when grouped

- SouthItemLastValueResponse: Response for the item last-value endpoint. Carries the item's own last cached value/instant, plus, when the item belongs to a group, the group's last tracked instant. Both parts reuse {@link SouthItemLastValue} unchanged.
  - `itemLastValue` SouthItemLastValue, required: Last value information for a South connector item. Stores the last received value and metadata per item.
    - `itemId` string, required: The ID of the item.
    - `itemName` string, required: The name of the item.
    - `groupId` string, nullable, required: The ID of the group.
    - `groupName` string, required: The name of the group.
    - `queryTime` string, required: Represents an instant in time as an ISO 8601 string.

    - `trackedInstant` string, required: Represents an instant in time as an ISO 8601 string.
  - `groupLastValue` SouthItemLastValue, required: Last value information for a South connector item. Stores the last received value and metadata per item.
    - `itemId` string, required: The ID of the item.

    - `groupId` string, nullable, required: The ID of the group.
    - `groupName` string, required: The name of the group.
    - `queryTime` string, required: Represents an instant in time as an ISO 8601 string.
