# Browse south explore session

`PUT /api/south/{southId}/explore/{sessionId}`

Browse (expand) an entry within an explore session

## Path parameters

- `southId` string, required
- `sessionId` string, required

## Request body

- SouthExploreBrowseCommand — Command body to browse (expand) an entry within an explore session.
  - `parentId` string, nullable, required — The id of the entry to expand, or null to (re)load the root level.

## Response `200`

Ok

- SouthExploreBrowseResult — Result of browsing (expanding) an entry within an explore session.
  - `entries` SouthConnectorExploreEntry[], required — The children of the browsed entry.
    - `id` string, required — Stable identifier of the entry, passed back to expand it. OPC-UA node id (e.g. "ns=1;s=Temperature") or a folder-relative path.
    - `name` string, required — Human-readable label (OPC-UA display name or file/folder name).
    - `metadata` RecordStringStringOrNumber, required — Construct a type with a set of properties K of type T
    - `metadataKinds` PartialRecordStringSouthConnectorExploreFieldKind — Make all properties in T optional
    - `hasChildren` boolean, required — Whether the entry can be expanded to reveal children in the explore tree.
