# Live L3 packaging cost indices — filtered by plan

`GET /indices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://opnplatform.com/api`
- URL: `https://opnplatform.com/api/indices`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - none

Returns live L3 finished-unit cost indices filtered by your plan. **No auth / Observer:** 30 rotating top indices. **Essential (opn_ key):** 100 indices. **Professional:** 200 indices. **Intelligence:** all 385 indices. Include `Authorization: Bearer opn_<key>` to access your plan's full set. Response includes `_plan` metadata showing your current limit and total available. Updated weekly. MCP equivalent: `get_all_indices` tool.

Indices for your plan, with plan metadata

  - `_plan` PlanMeta: Appended to every authenticated API response. Shows the caller's current plan limits without a separate call.
    - `api_access` boolean: Whether the plan includes REST API access
    - `index_limit` integer, nullable: Max indices returned. null = unlimited.
    - `plan` 'observer' | 'essential' | 'professional' | 'intelligence'
    - `upgrade_url` string, nullable: Upgrade page URL, null if already on top tier
    - `webhook` boolean: Whether index-move webhooks are enabled (Intelligence only)
  - `indices` IndexValue[]
    - `category_id` string: Index code (e.g. CORR, FLEX, RGID)
    - `change_pct` number, nullable: Week-on-week % change
    - `co2_grade` 'A' | 'B' | 'C' | 'D' | 'null', nullable: Carbon grade A–D relative to all L3 index peers. A=lowest carbon quartile (best), D=highest carbon quartile.
    - `co2_per_dollar` number, nullable: Carbon efficiency: kg CO2e per USD spent. Lower = greener per dollar. Calculated as co2_per_unit / index_value.
    - `co2_per_unit` number, nullable: Carbon footprint in kg CO2e per finished unit. Scope 3 cradle-to-gate material production only. Source: WRAP 2023 / PlasticsEurope LCIA 2023 / Ecoinvent 3.9 / IAI 2023.
    - `index_date` string, date
    - `index_value` number: Current value in USD
    - `unit` string: Price unit (e.g. $/unit, $/t, $/1000)
  - `live` boolean
  - `total_live` integer: Total indices available across all plans

## Other responses

- `403`: Plan limit — index requires higher plan
