# Single index — current value

`GET /indices/{code}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://opnplatform.com/api`
- URL: `https://opnplatform.com/api/indices/{code}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - none

Fetch the current value and WoW change for any PackIndex code (L1 raw material, L2 semi-finished, or L3 finished unit). Works for all 385 indices: CORR, FLEX, PVC, LME_AL, OCC, BOPP, BOPET, PX, PE, etc. Include `Authorization: Bearer opn_<key>` to access your plan's full index set. For price history (sparklines, trend charts, prediction inputs) use `GET /api/indices/{code}/history?months=24` instead.

## Response `200`

Current index value

- IndexValue: A PackIndex L3 finished unit cost index with price and Green Index carbon data.
  - `category_id` string: Index code (e.g. CORR, FLEX, RGID)
  - `change_pct` number, nullable: Week-on-week % change
  - `co2_grade` 'A' | 'B' | 'C' | 'D' | 'null', nullable: Carbon grade A–D relative to all L3 index peers. A=lowest carbon quartile (best), D=highest carbon quartile.
  - `co2_per_dollar` number, nullable: Carbon efficiency: kg CO2e per USD spent. Lower = greener per dollar. Calculated as co2_per_unit / index_value.
  - `co2_per_unit` number, nullable: Carbon footprint in kg CO2e per finished unit. Scope 3 cradle-to-gate material production only. Source: WRAP 2023 / PlasticsEurope LCIA 2023 / Ecoinvent 3.9 / IAI 2023.
  - `index_date` string, date
  - `index_value` number: Current value in USD
  - `unit` string: Price unit (e.g. $/unit, $/t, $/1000)

## Other responses

- `403`: Plan limit
- `404`: Index code not found
