# Test Workbot's default model

`POST /v1/org/workbot-settings/test-default-model`

## Request

Runs one bounded synthetic completion on the server-resolved organization default with the runner's configured key, or the signed-in member's AI Gateway access when cloudAgentGateway is on. No member content, tools, files, MCP access or conversation is used. May consume paid inference. Returns only status, a safe error code and requested/provider-reported model IDs. Requires a genuine user session, recent sign-in, Manage OpenWork Models. Limited durably to three checks per organization and three per member in a ten-minute inactivity-reset window. Never exposed to MCP.

## Other responses

- `400`: Only an empty request body is accepted.
- `401`: Authentication required.
- `403`: A genuine recent user sign-in and Manage OpenWork Models are required.
- `404`: The organization was not found, or Workbot is off.
- `429`: The durable diagnostic request limit was reached.
