# Update gateway model group

`PATCH /v1/inference-providers/{inferenceProviderId}/model-groups/{groupId}`

## Request

Partially updates a group's name, description, status or model membership. Supplied modelIds replaces membership; omitted modelIds preserves it. IDs must belong to the provider's supported catalog universe. Requires the Manage Gateway providers permission and enabled Gateway management; session callers must recently reauthenticate.

- `403`: Access denied or Gateway management disabled.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Selection or resource conflict.
