# Create a claim code for a provisional workspace

`POST /v1/bootstrap/workspace/{bootstrapId}/claim`

Authenticated with the workspace's pre-claim identity assertion as a Bearer token. Returns an RFC 8628-style user code and verification URL for a person to claim the workspace. Each call cancels the previous unused code.

## Response `200`

Claim code created.

- `401` — The pre-claim assertion is missing, invalid, or revoked.
