# Delete dictionary word

`DELETE /dictionary/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openwhispr.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.openwhispr.com/api/v1/dictionary/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Remove an entry. Idempotent — deleting an ID that is already gone still returns 204. Requires dictionary:write on a personal key (owk_live_). Never blocked by organization policy.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

Entry deleted (or was already gone).

## Other responses

- `403`: Missing dictionary:write, or a workspace key.
