# Get a nonce for linking a wallet

`POST /api/v2/accounts/wallets/siwx/nonce`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.opensea.io`

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key` and OpenID Connect (`https://auth.opensea.io/.well-known/openid-configuration`, scopes: `write:wallets`)

Issue a single-use nonce for linking a wallet to the authenticated account, with the statement to sign. Build the SIWX message with this nonce and this statement verbatim, sign it with the wallet, and submit it to link_wallet_with_siwx. The nonce is valid for 10 minutes and only for this account.

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `409`: Conflict
