# Edit the model's Layer-1 routing policy (platform admin)

`PATCH /v1/admin/inference/catalog/{modelId}/routing`

Sets RoutingConfig.Strategy / MaxAttempts (and optionally per-family overrides) on the catalog row. Rides the generation-stamp cache, so the change propagates to every gateway task without a deploy.
