# Enable or disable alert

`PATCH /api/v2/{org_id}/alerts/{alert_id}/enable`

Toggles the active status of an alert to enable or disable its monitoring and notification functionality. When disabled, the alert will stop evaluating conditions and sending notifications until re-enabled.
