# Get user's organizations

`GET /api/organizations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openobserve.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.openobserve.ai/api/organizations`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/openobserve/apis/openobserve-api-http/docs/api/organizations/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Retrieves a list of all organizations that the authenticated user has access to, including organization details, permissions, and subscription information. Root users can see all organizations in the system.

## Response `200`

Success

- object
  - `data` OrgDetails[], required
    - `UserObj` OrgUser, required
      - `email` string, required
      - `first_name` string, required
      - `last_name` string, required
    - `created_at` integer: When the organization was created, as a Unix timestamp in microseconds; 0 when unknown.
    - `id` integer, required
    - `identifier` string, required
    - `ingest_threshold` integer, required
    - `name` string, required
    - `owner_email` string: The org admin/owner's email — used by the frontend to disambiguate two orgs that share a display name (e.g. two orgs both named "default"). Empty when no admin could be resolved (e.g. root-user view of a stale org).
    - `owner_first_name` string: The org admin/owner's first name, when set; the frontend falls back to the local part of `owner_email` when this is empty.
    - `plan` integer
    - `search_threshold` integer, required
    - `type` string, required
    - `user_email` string, required
