# Set user-level setting

`POST /api/{org_id}/settings/v2/user/{user_id}`

Creates or updates a user-level setting. This setting applies only to the specific user and overrides org-level and system-level settings.

  - `scope` 'system' | 'org' | 'user', required: Setting scope levels
  - `setting_category` string, nullable: Optional category for grouping
  - `setting_key` string, required: Setting key identifier
  - `setting_value` unknown, required
  - `updated_at` integer: Updated timestamp (microseconds)
  - `updated_by` string, nullable: User who last updated this setting
  - `user_id` string, nullable: User ID (required for user scope)
