# Poll job status, cost and artifacts

`GET /jobs/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openmayhem.ai/v1`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Text in a finished job's result (answers, reasoning, tool calls, transcripts, prompts) is deleted five minutes after the first read of the finished job and at most one hour after it finishes; the result then carries text_expired: true. Status, usage, cost and receipts remain.

  - `polling_url` string
  - `cost` string: USD, set once settled.
  - `retail_cost_limit` string, nullable: Effective per-request retail USD cap after combining request and API-key limits.
  - `routing` object: Validated routing controls frozen when the job was submitted.
  - `artifacts` object[]
    - `id` string
    - `content_type` string
    - `size_bytes` integer

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Unknown job or owned by another account.
