# Update Outbound Callback Stages

`PUT /settings/outbound-callbacks`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openintake.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Replace the full set of outbound callback ladder stages.

Stage numbers must be contiguous starting at 1. An empty list deletes the
customer's stages, which restores the defaults. Also persists the
``callbacks_active`` arm switch, which is what actually starts and stops
re-dialing; editing the ladder with it off is a safe, inert operation.

## Request body

- UpdateOutboundCallbackStagesRequest: Full replacement set of outbound callback ladder stages
  - `callbacks_active` boolean: Arm switch; defaults to false so saving a ladder never starts dialing on its own
  - `stages` OutboundCallbackStageEntry[], required: Full replacement set of stages; an empty list restores the defaults
    - `stage_number` integer, required: Stage position, starting at 1
    - `interval_days` integer, required: Days to wait between attempts in this stage
    - `max_attempts` integer, required: Attempts to make in this stage before moving to the next
    - `enabled` boolean: Whether this stage is part of the ladder

Successful Response

- OutboundCallbackStagesResponse: Outbound callback ladder response model
  - `callbacks_active` boolean, required: Arm switch. While false the ladder is configurable but nothing is scheduled and nothing is dialed
  - `stages` OutboundCallbackStageEntry[], required: Stages ordered by stage_number; a customer with no configured stages gets the defaults (2 daily, then 3 weekly)
    - `stage_number` integer, required: Stage position, starting at 1
    - `interval_days` integer, required: Days to wait between attempts in this stage
    - `max_attempts` integer, required: Attempts to make in this stage before moving to the next
    - `enabled` boolean: Whether this stage is part of the ladder
