# Delete Chat Widget

`DELETE /settings/chat-widgets/{chat_widget_id}`

Delete a chat widget.

The default widget cannot be deleted — legacy embed snippets resolve to
it by customer id. Conversations from a deleted widget fall back to the
default widget's configuration.
