# Trigger Outbound Call

`POST /developer/trigger-outbound-call`

## Request

Manually trigger an outbound VAPI call.

Developer-only endpoint for testing. Takes contact info directly
rather than referencing an outbound lead.

## Request body

- TriggerOutboundCallRequest: Request to manually trigger an outbound call.
  - `first_name` string, required: Contact first name
  - `last_name` string: Contact last name
  - `customer_number` string, required: Phone number to dial (E.164)
  - `case_id` string, uuid, nullable: Case to associate with the call. Optional -- some outbound lines have no cases at all.
  - `phone_number_id` string, uuid, required: Internal phone number ID to dial from
  - `trigger_metadata` object, nullable: Resolved trigger-supplied values, keyed by the customer's configured trigger field keys (e.g. {"lead_source": "instagram_ad"})

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- TriggerOutboundCallResponse: Response from triggering an outbound call.
  - `call_id` string, uuid, required
  - `vapi_call_id` string, required
  - `phone_number` string, required
  - `status` string, required
