# Create Agent Token

`POST /developer/agent-tokens`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openintake.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.openintake.ai/developer/agent-tokens`

Create a new agent token for a customer.

This endpoint is restricted to developer users only.
Generates a secure random token that can be used by phone agents
to authenticate API requests for the specified customer.

- **customer_id**: The customer UUID to create the token for

Returns:
- **token**: The generated bearer token (store this securely!)
- **customer_id**: The customer ID this token is associated with
- **is_active**: Whether the token is active (always true for new tokens)

## Request body

- CreateAgentTokenRequest: Request to create an agent token for a customer
  - `customer_id` string, uuid, required: The customer ID to create the token for

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- CreateAgentTokenResponse: Response with the created agent token
  - `token` string, required: The generated agent token (bearer token)
  - `customer_id` string, uuid, required: The customer ID this token is for
  - `is_active` boolean, required: Whether the token is active

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
