# Reset Password

`POST /auth/reset-password`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openintake.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.openintake.ai/auth/reset-password`
- Auth: none declared

Set a new password using a valid, unused, unexpired reset token.

Does not log the user in — they return to /login with the new password.

## Request body

- ResetPasswordRequest: Request to set a new password using a reset token
  - `token` string, required: Raw reset token from the emailed link
  - `new_password` string, required: New password

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AppAuthSchemasMessageResponse: Generic message response
  - `message` string, required: Message
